Our practice nurses run clinics daily. They have a key role in helping patients manage chronic diseases such as asthma, COPD, diabetes and hypertension.
Appointments can also be made for such things as wound care, ear care, immunisations, help with lifestyle changes such as stopping smoking or losing weight, contraception and cervical smears.
Each nurse specialises in particular areas and different length appointments are needed for different things. The receptionist will guide you when you book a nurse appointment.

The healthcare assistants work as part of the nursing team. They assist nurses and other health care professionals. They have undergone a rigorous training programme in the practice and at the hospital.
They are able to take blood and to undertake investigations such as ECGs and blood pressure measurement. HCA’s are also involved in hypertension reviews.
Mrs Judith Otu is now working with us with medication review and self-prescribing. She is able to see/help patients with prescription queries by face to face appointment and by telephone.
We have an attendant midwife, Katie, who sees mothers to be at the practice on a Monday and Thursday.
