Changes to Appointment System

To all Registered Patients at Bramblys Grange

Thank you all for your patience during the past few months. It has been a very difficult time for everyone. We (your nurses, GPs, receptionists and admin team) have been working incredibly hard through the Covid-19 pandemic and as things start to settle into a more routine pattern we want to ensure the best and most efficient care for all our patients.

Therefore from 17th August we will be trialling a new way of managing the incoming requests and queries.

If you have a problem that is urgent and needs an on the day response please call the surgery before 11:00am. One of our health care professionals will call you back the same day.

If your query does not require a same day response, please call any time after 11:00am. You can then be booked in for a telephone call on a convenient date with the most appropriate health care professional.

After 11 am your call will only be returned the same day if it is an emergency. Our reception team are trained to ask a few simple questions to help establish how urgently you need to be spoken to by a doctor. Please help them to do their job by answering these questions, which are asked in strict confidence and on behalf of the Doctor.

The Doctors will be managing on the day requests in the morning and using the afternoons to call patients for follow-up reviews, discuss test results and respond to medication reviews.
